“falling in love” how that phrase just gives you warmth, sends you into a dreaming state of the time where you were in love with someone who may or may not be yours now, if they are (you’re the lucky one).
Falling in love is such beautifully scary in my opinion, in our early teenage years, when we had just entered this new age where “teen” was added whenever you filled out your age, when you think you’ve become so mature but in reality it is just the beginning my friend.
It is also an age where one crush or just one glance is enough to make you say “I like him/her” and when your friends tease you with that person’s name. But that feeling is so potent at the same time, because you give it your all.
Falling in love at the same time is one of the bravest thing to do, in my humble opinion because you have decided to give yourself to this one person who may or may not love you back which brings me to the title of this post-“one-sided love.”
One-sided love is the most complete or whole feeling in my opinion because, in your mind, or at least in mine, you love that person even if the other person isn’t in it at all, even if that person doesn’t love you at all. It’s the most fulfilling, complete and whole feeling even if it is “one-sided.”
In the end, dearest reader I leave you with a quote to ponder over:
It takes strength to endure a one-sided love, and an even greater strength to let it go.”
